About MINIRUN Calgary:
The
1st annual MINIRUN Calgary is going to be held on Sunday, May 28th,
2006 and is open to anyone driving a MINI. There will be a minimum of
two people in each car and a maximum of four. Perfect for a couple of
friends or kids in the back.
The run is going to start in the parking lot of the Deerfoot Inn and
Casino and follow a set route around Calgary. Drivers and navigators
are going to be responsible to find the correct route by following
directions. Although this is a timed run, it is not however, a serious
rally. There will be interactions from the team members, as well as
trivia questions to be answered and visual observations to be recorded
along the route. Each member will have to step out of their vehicle
from time to time in the run, when required. The run has been designed
as sort of a cross between a road rally and a scavenger hunt, with a
few twists to the theme thrown in.
The run will end back in the hotel where teams are encouraged to grab a
quick bite while their scores are being tallied. Or they can wait to
sit down to a full meal in one of the restaurants once all the scores
have been tallied, the winners declared and the prizes have been handed
out accordingly.
We have to stick together - we all drive funny little cars ...
